Hello everyone,
My son has got a Mac Pro 3.1, and is wanting to do a graphics card upgrade.
He has the nvidia GTX 780 (Jetstream) (http://www.hardwareversand.de/nl/6144+MB/166003/Palit+GeForce+GTX+780+Jetstream+ 6GB+mit+GeForce+Experience.article) on his mind, due to the fact he will be using the Mac for video editing, rendering etc, and will also be using heavy graphic games on 'ultra' settings in Windows through Bootcamp.
Now our question is: Will this be possible on a Mac Pro 3.1 (Early 2008)? We have read through many forum's and can not get a clear answer from any.

Jetstream Downloader installation for the Mac
Installing the Jetstream Downloader Mac TCP (V2.3) on the Mac
For the best result - trash your old Jetstream downloader software and do a complete installation with the new version. Also go into preferences in your system folder and select all the preferences that reads Jetstream to the trash.
1) Insert the diskette labeled Jet Stream New Downloader Mac TCP (V2.3) for Macintosh into the floppy drive.
2) Double-click on the icon labelled 'JetStream Installer 2.1' to launch the installer application.
3) Select Continue to proceed to the installation information window.
4) Choose Continue to select installation options.
5) Choose Install to install the complete Jet Stream package (DO NOT select Custom).
6) Let the prompt create a folder namesd 'Jetstream' on your root harddrive (you could move it somewhere else later).
7) Select Quit to exit the installer program. Installation is complete.
8) Double-click on the Jetstream icon to launch the application for the first time.

9) The Downloader will not have a server address, so select OK to proceed.
10) At the Server information window, type the following and then OK to accept:
MGI Server TCP/IP address: 128.200.21.100
Job Receiver Socket/Port: 6001
11) The Database will update itself and retrieve information form the server. Complete - you can begin transferring files using the downloader application.
order of preference):
Mac Os Versions
- 4x5 (if available) and Source to cassette.
- Custom:Landscape: width of 11' by a height of 7.3'.
Portrait: width of 7.3' by a height of 11'.
- If custom page sizing is unavailable then choose A4.
2) Select orientation. (Landscape or Portrait.)
3) Printer: 'Specific Printer:' - 'MGI Solitaire 4x5 on FILE'
