-There is a large guarded gate at the entrance to The Barrens. Don't go through it, or you'll be killed. Instead, go east when you see the gate, and you will find a breached section of wall. You can go through here, but look out for the level 40 guard that patrols nearby. Travel south in The Barrens, go around the crossroads orcish outpost, south again until you hit the area highlighted in green. You will find a tree with a tent beside it, and the seer. Watch out for the nearby wildlife, theyre not known as friendly to strangers. Note: There are other, more dangerous ways to get to the barrens. You could take the boat to Theramore from the wetlands and follow the road and signposts to the barrens. Level 40+ monsters roam here, and though there arent very many aggroing monsters on your path, it can still be timeconsuming if you die here. Another option is going to Booty Bay, which is all the way on the southern tip of Azeroth (Follow the road south from duskwood), and taking a boat to Ratchet, a goblin outpost in the barrens. This is a long walk through lvl 30+ territory with many aggroing monsters along the road. Don't forget to pick up the gryphon flight path in Booty Bay. |
Part 2: Heartwood | |
When you find The Seer, he tells you a tale about two lovers that fell together in battle.The event is re-enacted before you, displayed by ghostlike figures. Right where those two fell in battle, a tree grew. This tree is the symbol of undying love, and just the type of thing the succubus is attracted to. The Seer tells you to collect a piece of wood from the tree and bring it back to Gavin in Stormwind. The tree can be found in Ashenvale. Go back the way you came and enter Ashenvale again. | |
- Back the way you came in the direction of Darkshore. You will find the tree in the purple area. (You can tell whether its the right tree by hovering your cursor over it, it will light up as a 'usable item') It is guarded by warlocks with Voidwalker pets, which are soloable. Clear to the tree and gather the wood from it. This may take several attempts if you are not a herbalist, so dont dispair if you fail the first time and keep trying. Once you have the wood, head back to the docks in Darkshore and travel to Stormwind, or use your hearthstone. | |
Turn the heartwood in in Stormwind, you will now be able to summon the Succubus at the summoners circle and defeat her like you did the Voidwalker at level 10. You will receive the summoning scroll from Gakin. Where to Start
Most of what you need to know about LibriVox can be found on the LibriVox Forum and the FAQ. LibriVox volunteers are helpful and friendly, and if you post a question anywhere on the forum you are likely to get an answer from someone, somewhere within an hour or so. So don't be shy! Many of our volunteers have never recorded anything before LibriVox.
Types of Projects
We have three main types of projects:
- Collaborative projects: Many volunteers contribute by reading individual chapters of a longer text.
- We recommend contributing to collaborative projects before venturing out to solo projects.
- Dramatic Readings and Plays: contributors voice the individual characters. When complete, the editor compiles them into a single recording
- Solo projects: One experienced volunteer contributes all chapters of the project.
Proof Listener (PL)
Not all volunteers read for LibriVox. If you would prefer not to lend your voice to LibriVox, you could lend us your ears. Proof listeners catch mistakes we may have missed during the initial recording and editing process.
Reader (Narrator)
Readers record themselves reading a section of a book, edit the recording, and upload it to the LibriVox Management Tool.

One Minute Test
We require new readers to submit a sample recording so that we can make sure that your set up works and that you understand how to export files meeting our technical standards. We do not want you to waste previous hours reading whole chapters only to discover that your recording is unusable due to a preventable technical glitch.
